    • About

      The Gold Nugget Museum is named for the 54-pound gold nugget found in 1859. The museum preserves the history of the Paradise Ridge. Rotating exhibits include mining, clothing, Maidu Native Americans, medical office equipment, and tools. The museum presents the annual Gold Nugget Days Celebration, Days of Living History, Pioneer School program, Maidu School program, and a Dutch oven cook-off.
