The Gold Nugget Museum was named for the 54-pound gold nugget found in locally in 1859. Our museums preserve the history of the Paradise Ridge. rotating exhibits include mining, clothing, Maidu Native Americans, railroads, and the pioneer activity throughout the century. The museum presents the annual Gold Nugget Days Celebration (April), Days of Living History (Fall), Pioneer School program (Spring), and the Maidu School program (Fall).
While under reconstruction, the Paradise Depot, 5770 Black Olive Drive (Paradise Community Park) is being utilized as our administrative office.
