Let Your Colors Shine
Day 2 - Venice Carnival. Cancer Center Children's "Let Your Colors Shine," is a program for children aged 6 to 13 whose loved ones are battling cancer. Each session focuses on themes related to living with cancer, such as loss, grief and healing which are incorporated into games, art projects and sharing time. "These children speak a common language," said Kate McDonald, director of the Cancer Center at Feather River Hospital. "They are able to talk to each other about what they are going through and to address the challenges they share."
Activities will include: Art/Craft project, games, relaxation/stress reduction exercises and story circle time (emotional "processing")
