DESCRIPTION:The Paradise Recreation and Park District will be holding an Art Pop-Up Event to celebrate Earth Day at the Terry Ashe Recreation Center (TARC). The event will be in keeping with COVID restrictions\, having a drop in approach. Participants will be able to contribute art with "upcycling" of re-useable materials on their own schedule.\n\n\n\nLocal artist Jess Mercer is organizing the event and noted the event will provide\, "A COVID informed way to celebrate Earth Day and contribute to a community-oriented art pop up using upcycled materials." Upcycle artist Luann Manss DiRienzo will be attending. \n\n\n\nCommunity members are encouraged to bring old pieces of fabric that can be "upcycled" in this case\, tied onto a single chain link fence panel. The greater image is meant to show the fabric of the community as one. Each participant will be able to add fabric to the art community piece\, draw/write on Butte County Art on Wheels van and share in the joy of creating an upcycled art piece.
