It was a time of considerable sacrifice. Young men and women left their small communities, having never traveled more than a few miles from their homes. It was War, and they were called on to do their part in a strange land far away from family and friends. From 1941-45, this Depot Museum exhibit, "Remembering World War II," shares the artifacts of local young men and women who ventured abroad in service of their country.
The Gold Nugget Depot Museum is open Saturdays and Sundays, 12 noon to 4pm. Located at the Paradise Community Park, at Pearson and Black Olive Roads (adjacent to the Yellowstone Kelly Memorial Trail), Paradise, California.
