Join us on Sunday August 11th to Love our Paradise Schools! For the last three years, the Love Paradise group has organized volunteers for days of service and beautification in the Paradise community. This year, in the aftermath of the Camp Fire, Love Paradise is back and ready to host another day of volunteering – this time to beautify the areas around our schools in preparation for the first day back on August 15th. As we welcome our school kids back to Paradise, we want their experience to be the best it can be, and we want their pathways to and from school to be as clean and safe as possible. On Sunday August 11th, Love Paradise will hold a “Love our Schools” cleanup day on Pearson Rd. near Paradise Ridge Elementary and on Maxwell Dr. near Paradise High School. Volunteers will be picking up trash, metal or other objects on sidewalks and along paths, and clearing weeds. The Paradise Adventist Church, the Town of Paradise, the Paradise Garden Club, California Hope Center, the Paradise Church of Latter-Day Saints, and the Paradise Zone Project, are all coming together to volunteer on August 11th. We are looking for volunteers! If you are interested in helping, join us at 8 am on Sunday August 11th at Paradise Community Park, and bring gloves if you have them! We’ll have coffee and hot chocolate, generously donated by our own Paradise Starbucks, and then head off to clean up our community!
