Paradise Performing Arts Center |
RETURN
TO TOP |
Located at 777 Nunneley Road, the
Paradise Performing Arts Center presents a wide variety of live
entertainment. From Broadway to ballet, classical to
country, symphonies to sing-a-longs it all can be seen at PPAC. While presenting
a full season of international and national touring acts PPAC is
also home to several local arts groups, including Northern
California Ballet and the Paradise Symphony Orchestra and hosts
local events throughout the season at Gold Nugget Days, Cruisin'
Paradise and Johnny Appleseed Days.
Built entirely by community donations the
$3.5 Million facility has 762 seats, state-of-the-art sound and
lighting systems, a 40x40 stage with full Orchestra pit and
excellent acoustics. A central location and ample parking
make it the perfect destination for a night at the theatre.
Following a tour of PPAC, Jack Bogan of
Bogan Associates, a theatre consulting firm, was heard to say
"What you have here is The Jewel of the
Foothills". And so we do. |

TOTR was founded in 1975 as an off-shoot
of a children's program administered by the Paradise Recreation
and Park District. Originally producing one or two
productions a year in the local gymnasium, TOTR expanded to its
own location in September 1979. The first season of
regularly scheduled performances began in 1980 with four
productions.
Over the years the season has evolved to
the production of six shows annually. |
